Coordinator Invitation.......

Hi Friends,

As Raghav sir has mentioned that we have started to invite our members to represent their JNVs.

Friends, those who want to take the responsibility of representing their school, plz let me know. One person from each school can take this responsibility to coordinate with his/her school. But before giving this opportunity to anybody I would like to have a commitment from that luckiest person. I think words without commitment is nothing.

Those who are interested and willing to take this responsibility they are most welcome and i will be happy if you come forward. And one more thing, don't mind but we should be clear on some point. If coordinators are not willing to do anything or not active after taking this responsibility and giving commitment than we will just send a reminder mail to coordinator (him/her) and if still we don’t get any reply or response from that person than i am very sorry friends, but without further delay we will remove that person from our coordinators list .... We are little strict here but if we want to do something good, we need to do in plan way. If anybody have any question or any doubt let me know. I will try to clear that. You are most welcome here. Looking forward to hear from you.....

This is a nice idea.I am reltively new to this navodaya.net
but i would like to know what would be coordinator's responsibilities.
i would like to take this responsibility.but then i am currently away from india.will that make a difference? if not me..i will try to find somebody who can represent my school(JNV kurnool)

one more suggestion is if two valunteers are there for each Navodaya...that would be good..if we miss one..we have another as backup..Final motive here is to get the task accomplished.
Just think about it..

Firstly, I must tell all here that I am interested in representing my JNV, i.e. JNV-Faizabad, U P. whatever may the responsibilities be.
Rewa have you decided some tasks for that? Please let us know the whole idea? I think some more details should be worked out so people here may know that they can perform these tasks or not

Yes you right vinay sir some of the co-ordinators from that list need a reminder immediatly. And i am trying to do same. i am sending mail to all co-ordinators from that list. Your name is already there in coordinators list:)

Hi All,

Yashpal, your suggestion (two coordinators) seems to be very good. Moreover, incase of coordinators being out of the country it would be of much help. Madhu and you have raised the question of non residents becoming coordinators having a counter part in India would be very helpful. I feel it would be better to have two cordinators for each navodaya, Pradeep bhaiya and Tulika also supports this idea. So friends we would like two people from each navodaya to come forward. Dheeraj, I think this will solve your problem also

Roushan you asked for the points (responsibilities) here are these:

1) The alumni representing their school will make coordination between a) other alumni of the school b) the present students & c) Principal & Teachers of their school.

2) They must be willing to give 5 hours/week of their quality time in interacting with other alumni representatives through internet.

3) They will undertake the responsibilty of coordinating other alumni of their school for the events,and meets organised by the alumni, after communicating them in due time.

4) They shall raise funds on behalf of their school alumni in case of serious needs. And in case of severe necessity they may contribute some small amount for the welfare of students themselves.


NOTE: More I will let you know in next week....

Hi Rewa,

Another small suggestion from my side. It would be nice if the co-ordinators belong to different batches ...preferrentially with a difference of minimum 3 batches. This helps them to cover a wide range of batches
easily.

Nice suggestion Maddy.I think we can have a rule something like this to give preference to this Batch Gap while co-ordinator selection but it may not be a mandatory one as it may limit our scope.

Then Rewa,Below are some form of concrete things which came out of from the responsibilities you mentioned in your previous mail note. Please have a look at them.

Making a mandatory visit to their School atleast once in a Quarter....the more the count,the best the services we can provide them....It's not that only coordinators should go there...They should see that some alumni from their schools are visiting the school regulalry to know the ground realities,to know better what our juniors are really expecting from us, to see the communication an effective bi-directional one......and this list goes on and we can have these one by one......

We should also arrange some form of phone facilities in addition to the net facilities in each school so that students can connect to their alumni representatives whenevr they feel so it's important for whatsover reason. we should come out with a proper plan for these two things such as fund raising by respective alumi of each school and again it's the responsibility of the alumni coordinators to see that these things are happening at right time.. and I belive these are important steps in making this community an effective one by involving the current navodites studying in schools as major forces .....We can set up the Quantitaive targets for these two things shortly once agreed upon by us...


And for my school JNV-Vizianagaram,AP representatives/coordinators, I will find out the persons list and will get them here shortly . Am currently outside India and wish to be in India by this August.

Hi Madhu and Vatv,

Your suggestions are appreciable. But the question is whether we have representatives from all jnvs and from all the batches. I think Vatv you are right, the coordinators should visit their schools but in case they are unable to go they can send any other representatives who are well aware of the requirements of the particular Navodaya. Friends, Your ideas and suggestions are always welcome. We want two coordinators from each jnv, so please come forward in large numbers.
