Navodaya Leadership Institute is situated in the campus of JNV, Chandigarh, lot of activity especially various training programmes are conducted for the navodaya teachers and principals. For facilitation of such programmes JNV,Chandigarh is equipped with an advanced conference hall, seminar room. The alumnis were impressed a lot on just a having a glance of the same.
12.10 pm – Get together of the alumni’s at the conference hall.
- More than 70 alumni from different Navodayas of different places attended introduction session held in the conference hall. The suggestion forms were distributed to all for keeping record of their personal and professional profile. Few of the ex students did not submitted their registration forms the best reasons known to them.
- Introduction of alumni’s to each other,
(Details of the alumni present on that day are being posted separately.)
-
Mr.Vikas Mittal
had addressed the meeting and explained the objectives of get together to the alumni.
There was a short break for 10 minutes. The alumni were served with refreshment and cup of coffee during the break. Thereafter, the alumni from Delhi joined us and the meeting then followed more interestingly with anumber of suggestions coming forward.
The points raised during the discussion are as follows
:
1. All alumnis must register to the site
www.navodaya.net
2. Update of information is needed.
3. Career counseling of the students is a must and should be carried out more effectively.
4. Information of many navodayans is available on
www.batchmate.com,
so, efforts should be made to take their full information and contact from there, so that they can also be able to join the get togethers.
5. Improvement of administration of JNVs.
6. The different departments of
AINAA
, for different activities should be made as soon as possible and act accordingly.
7. Participation of JNVs in interschool competitions (open), should be promoted.
8. School problems must be resolved for taking continuous feedback from the present students.
9. Selection of alumnis from each school as a coordinator to represent their school.
10. Co-ordinators should be selected for each school in their own school alumni meeting.
11. Initiative to change teachers concept regarding students
12. The meeting of AIINA should be held more frequently
13. There should be sufficient time for interaction among alumnis and upliftment of all slums and poor children.
- Few of the young alumni who left the schools just a year back were not convinced with the objectives and wanted to build the tomb in one day. They were made to understand that movements with an objective take sometime. They left early, even without submitting their registration form.
3.00 pm – Lunch
- We left for the mess where delicious lunch was waiting for us. We all have enjoyed the lunch and recalled the days of our Navodaya life. Few of the alumni themselves volunteered to serve the food. We appreciate the spirit of Navodayans a lot. A well organized neat and clean restaurant like mess has impressed us a lot.
4.00 P.M. CAMPUS TOUR AND INTERACTION WITH STUDENTS
.
Alumni went for a campus tour and interaction with students. This school is having a campus different from all other Navodayas as it is just like a colony, there is no hall like dormitories, there is no double decor beds. But students/children have kept it neat and clean.
* The well maintained flower beds and advanced ayurvedic Garden shows the awareness among the children.
* They are having a Sanjha Chullah in the mess, where they use environment friendly fuel.
* The play ground is also well maintained.
* Onething which is lacking here is a MP hall.

He also suggested the alumnis to conduct such gatherings for two-three and he was ready to provide every supportfrom his side. Later on this suggestion was welcomed by our Honorable DC he also asked his all support for such kind of activities in future.

Post subject: A Report on AINAA Get-together @ JNV Sarsaul Kanpur Nagar!
Hi Friends,
Once this has been allready posted here by Pradeep bhaiya. Now I am posting same thing and Shweta will post more in details later. Sumit will put photos of GT.
Minutes of Meeting of AINAA Get-together @ JNV Sarsaul Kanpur Nagar, On 18th to 19th November 2006.
18.11.2006
Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, one of the largest group of schools have emerged on the horizons of education as a synonym for the value- based education system with strong component of culture. Everyone looks forward to the students nurtured in Navodaya culture for an answer to the quarries on the significance of life. In such times AINAA
( All India Navodaya Alumni Association)
is doing commendable job to integrate the potential units who in different capacities are expected to guide and support the existing students in winning success in their lives so that they become national and global member of the society. They may prove themselves the milestones of path-breaking achievements and potential lights to the budding talents who otherwise may waste their sweetness unrecognized in the desert air.
On 18.11.2006
the whole ambience was jubilant when
Sri Niranjan Singh, the Joint Commissioner
graced the occasion receiving bouquets from the migrated girl of this vidyalaya and from Rewa Smriti the co-ordinator representing all the Alumnae and alumni hailing from the different states of India.
Thereafter
Mr. P.N Mishra,PGT(Maths),
the anchorer invited
Dr. J.S Chauhan
for welcome-address in the honour of the chief-guest the honourable Joint Commissioner from NVS Delhi Headquarters. In his welcome-address the principal spoke at length on the need of such meets to enable the students to prove their worth and pace with time and expressed his heart-felt gratitude to the Joint Commissioner whose benign presence enthused us all.
On behalf of all the Alumnae and alumni
Kalicharna Patra
who passed 12th from JNV Belpara Bolangir, Orissa and who took his Ph.D in the field of Onchology from Delhi University, extended his heart felt thanks for being given this opportunity and expressed the earnest desire of all the alumni and alumnae to do something concrete in joint venture for the students studying at present in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas all over India.

The chief guest said that while in teaching profession he did not believe in politics and groupism and worked day and night for academic excellence with dedication. He stressed on individual attention to each student. He advised the students to develop self-confidence and to win success in all walks of life. Right from entry into Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya the students must be told about the purpose very of the education in JNVs and to win success for becoming a good human being, an ideal citizen with a dynamic personality. He stressed on the physical fitness, emotional balance, tactfulness, strength of character, worldly wisdom pacing with changing times. He cited the example of Mahatma Gandhi in the context of spiritual strength, strong will ,patience and successful personality. He added that the successful are those who have clear vision, goal setting, time-management and stress-management. He reiterated the need of preserving positive energy and discouraging negative thinking. It is the need of the hour, when values in life are blurred, ideologies clash, human relations lose their meaning. The education-system in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas under National Educational Policy has its own relevance to set the decorous order of things to leave a better world for the generations to come. In the end he said that Navodaya pass-outs are an asset to society. In an era of the explosion of knowledge the personality development has its own importance. The corporate-world is the last refuge for the dynamic personalities with managerial skills.

Navodaya Vidyalayas potential is found all the world over. He recalled the old days when means were meager yet enthusiasm existed. Now entire scenario has undergone a complete change. Now despite better facilities infrastructure advanced technology what is most required is enthusiasm and missionary spirit. He underlined the importance of strong will-power in the students and the staff of the people and society. It is time he said for the youth to take the responsibilities from their senior authorities as the parents responsibilities must become less when the elder offspring’s are capable.
‘AINAA’
he said intends to supplement the lack of exposure to scientific advancement in the students of JNVs which are mostly in interior rural areas. He ended his speech with the famous lines from

Hi Banwari,
Too late but too good indeed. I was always very curious to know what all transcripted in our other get togethers. You filled up that void brilliantly. Pictures are marvellous. Specially, Raghav sir conducting his career conselling session is treat for eye.
Mr. Raghavendra is a great personality. By watching him, you could never make out how effective he could be when he takes mike on the stage.
Thanks,
Ajay Kumar thakur
