It was something beyond a turning point. In Navodaya we got more exposure to rest of the world with the quality education and other things.
We got to chances participate in several GK and information test like UN information test and UNESCO information test organized by some national agency (I don’t remember the name right now) and hence got interest in international politics. Article 51 of our constitution says about our involvement in international issues and in Navodaya first time I learned about these things.
Today I see myself more informed than other guys most of them are much senior to me. Certainly it’s because I studied in Navodaya. _________________ roushan |

Hi all,
Great topic of discussion. I am not sure whether I will call my years at JNV Ernakulam as a turning point in my life. Usually turning points are smaller time periods, that changes the course of your life drastically. In that aspect, in my opinion JNVs are much more than just a mere turning point in any of the students life. The main benefits I got out og the JNV system are:
1. How to be self reliant
2. Figuring out the better way of doing things, and especially at the right time.
3. Be innovative and creative. The science exhibition fairs I participated has helped be decide where i want to be in the future of my life.
4. May be last but not the least, how to do your own stuff without any external stuff. That is critical in the current competitive industry scenario.
So my thanks to all who participated in this discussion and hope that all of u do excel in whatever u choose to do. Remember, every job has and demands it dignity. Be proud of what u are and what u do.
Thanks for listening to gibberish; |

Hi All,
I think it is a wrong question to ask......
It should be, "How is Navodaya a turning point in your life"..
Because it is definitely a turning point. No one can tell "NO" to that qn.
Lot of ppl who took TC for what ever reason, has regretted that they have gained nothing which we-staying in Navodaya have gained.
The best of my friends are from Navodaya. I am sure it’s the case with every navodayan. Most of the batch mates are in touch or at least know about what the other ppl are doing. Every non-navodayan is amused and surprised to know about our bond. Most of them would not even remember the name of their classmates in school.
Man being social, We are at the top in having human values, maintaining our relations, and adjusting to any environment- how ever adverse it is..
3 cheers to Navodaya
Love
